All of the grade six students and teachers enjoyed a full day of science learning at the CT Science Museum in Hartford, CT! It was nice to put my science teacher hat on and go with them!
Mrs. Ash's Language Exploratory Class studied culturally relevant foods from Spanish speaking countries. It was a huge success!
We are excited to announce that two of our eighth grade students have placed in this year’s Abigail Phelps Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Competition. Students wrote historical fiction stories from the perspective of a delegate to the Continental Congress between 1775-1776. Congratulations go out to Amani Akedde-Bernstein who won first place and Stephanie Clement for placing third in the competition with their creative stories.
East Granby Middle School is very proud of you!
Ms. Gilbert and Ms. Chaloux are thrilled to announce that TWELVE of our East Granby Middle School students have been accepted to the CMEA Northern Region Middle School Music Festival. Students auditioned for acceptance earned high enough scores to be invited to participate. They worked very hard and definitely earned their invitations! The festival is on March 10 & 11 at Bloomfield High School.

Students were working hard and collaborating with each other while creating pillows for class. Skills learned during this exercise included measurement, ironing, and sewing!
The EGMS Winter Concert was a great success on January 11. It was nice to see and hear the students on stage, and it was even better to see a full auditorium of families in attendance to support the students! Visit the link below to hear some of the performances:
