Congratulations to our 8th grade Math teacher Shannon Provencher on her well earned achievement of being our district's 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year! It was a fun surprise to share with the EGMS community, and Mrs. Provencher's family was there to tell her. Our whole school was there and filled with joy and excitement to celebrate her!

The 8th graders had a blast on June 10 at the EG Community Center! The students were decked out in formal wear and dancing up a storm together to celebrate their last year together at EGMS! The parents and EGMS faculty and staff had a great time as well. Special thanks to those who made the night special, especially Ms. Rosenstein for running the point on behalf of Team 8, the EGMS PTO for their annual financial contribution in making this event a successful hit, and the many 8th grade parents who helped with decorating and organizing dinner!
Check out the flier for our rising seniors' graduatingice cream fundraiser at the Dairy Cream.
Make sure you are not caught without this year's EGMS Yearbook! Mrs. Provencher still has some yearbooks that have not been purchased. Bring $22 cash or check (made payable to EGMS) in to Mrs. Provencher so you can claim yours today!
We had out first annual EGMS Community Day on Wednesday, June 4th, and wow... just... WOW!!!! What a phenomenal day! Before checking out the MANY photos of a great day for everyone in our community, please know that many people, parties, and forces for good had to be in alignment to make this such an incredible success:
- EGMS Student Government members and their advisors, Mr. Tomala and Mrs. Petersen
- EGYS, with special thanks to Alicia Van Neill
- EGMS Faculty and Staff for their involvement and flexibility (with special thanks to those who volunteered as "dunkees" for the dunk tank)
- EGMS Parents (current AND former for volunteering their time to supervise and take part in this)
We look forward to many more years of this new tradition! First, clcik on the next group photo for a great video of the dance vibe from the day. Then, enjoy the photos... they tell the best version of the story!
All three grades performed on Tuesday, June 4, in front of a full house! The music was on point, and we especially celebrated our 8th graders for three years of successful and joyful music making! Special thanks to Ms. Chaloux and Mrs. Gilbert for a job well done in egtting these students prepared over the past several months!
What a fun day with the 8th graders to start out an eventful week at EGMS!!! We had out annual 8th grade field trip to Boulder Ridge in Barkhampsted, CT. We had some ziplining, basketball, tennis, kayaking, swimming, acting out an impromptu play, and tons of food and ice cream!
