Think about what we learned in class about volcanoes....Then before you watch the video, try to answer the following in your head.....
1. Could a mountain turn into a volcano? Why do you think that? What needs to be present for it to be a volcano? What type of boundary is usually present for a volcano to occur?
2. What other questions do you have about volcanos? Will volcanoes ever completely go away? Remember, the Earth is cooling off.....but very slowly!
Now watch Parts 1 and 2 of the Video. Part 1 is 3:53 min and Part 2 is 3:14 min.
Bonus Activity: Some mountains are volcanoes, but some are not. How could you figure it out? Imagine that you are a scientist that just discovered a new mountain. How could you decide if it was once a volcano? What clues would you look for? Think like a scientist!!!
Be sure to TURN IN when you are done!!!! Stay curious!
