Welcome! Monday, May 4. MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!!!!

Goals for Today! Please make sure to READ through all items! Thank you.

NOTE - For any Google Classroom Assignment, after you complete the assignment, make sure you "Turn it in" or "Submit" your work when you are done. Thank you!

1.) NEW LESSON - You will have this week to complete a lesson on EdTed. You will log in using your school Google Account! Go to the link: https://ed.ted.com/on/XIcvCoUx to start the assignment. The lesson is on energy consumption and has several parts to complete.

2.) Cells on Mosa Mack - It is through Mosa Mack and entitled "Cells". This is due this Friday, May 8. This is a REQUIRED project. I am giving you more than a week to complete this. Go to the MOSA MACK tab on my website for more information and to know exactly what to complete for this project. 3.) Please check Google Classroom. One assignment is titled "Edpuzzle / Waves - An Introduction". Please watch the video and answer the questions. Due date was Wednesday, April 29 at 8pm.

4.) After completing the EdPuzzle assignment, head on over to: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/waves-intro and check out an awesome simulator on waves. When you get to the link, click on the PLAY symbol. Then go through the water, sound, and light sections. Play around and have fun! There is nothing to turn in here. This is a virtual hands-on lab.

5.) Check out the virtual field trip for the week. It is to Yellowstone National Park! See below.

• Take a "virtual field trip". See link next to the "Home" button. My advice is to try and take one virtual field trip each day and explore a new place! For this week, a great place to visit is: https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/photosmultimedia/virtualtours.htm Bring the Yellowstone National Park to your home! Check out all the virtual tour and all the activities you can do at home.

• SCRATCH! A great program that is free to use! I know most students already have an account, but if not, you can get one for FREE! Here is a link to many activities you can begin work on. Happy Monday! I'm sure everyone heard the bad news on Friday that we won't be returning to the building until next September! It made me very sad to hear it! I miss all of you very much and even though we are not in the building , so many of you have been doing an awesome job with the distance learning! Keep it up!!

Today's lesson will be reading the section "Martin Luther and the Reformation" Remember that the text can be found on the Monday April 20, 2020 date.
