Friday, April 24 - HAPPY EARTH DAY WEEK!

NOTE - For any Google Classroom Assignment, after you complete the assignment, make sure you "Turn it in" or "Submit" your work when you are done. Thank you!

1.) ATTENTION - Tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, there will be an awesome digital event called "ECO CARNIVAL" presented by the Seatuck Environmental Association. The event begins at 11am and runs until 4pm. Please visit: https://www.seatuck.org/index.php/digital-eco-carnival and try to "attend" this Saturday. There is a full schedule posted on the website for your review. Thank you to Ms. Rebore for sharing this awesome event!

2.) Continue work in Ever-Fi "ENDEAVOR"! This is a super cool program in which you will explore STEM careers connected to YOUR interests and aptitudes while practicing STEM concepts that are key for career readiness. Log-in your Ever-Fi account and choose "Endeavor". You can choose where to begin. There are SIX modules that you will complete. You have until today, Friday, April 24 to complete all 6 modules. Be sure to complete the "About Me Quiz" first! The goal is the same as last time....score a 70 or higher to get full credit. Since you have the time, I hope you will shoot for a 90 or higher on each module!

3.) A new EdPuzzle Assignment has been posted to your Google Classroom. The assignment is on "Work, Energy, and Power". Please watch the video and answer all questions. This assignment was due this past Wednesday by 8pm. See your Google Classroom for the assignment. Make sure to answer all the questions as you go along. Remember, you can take notes and re-watch sections the video if you need to by just clicking "Rewatch".

4.) For the 4th marking period, your final grade for the marking period will be based on 1 through 5. A rubric is currently being developed and will be shared ASAP. For the marking period in science, the grading policy I have been using will continue to be used. The only change is the categories as there is only 1 now. It is labeled "Assignments/Projects". All work will fit into this category. Only the marking period grade will change. Thank you.

5.) We are now in the 4th marking period. THERE WILL BE NO FINAL EXAMINATION THIS YEAR!

• Take a "virtual field trip". See link next to the "Home" button. My advice is to try and take one virtual field trip each day and explore a new place! For this week, a great place to visit is: https://naturalhistory.si.edu/visit/virtual-tour The Smithsonian, National Museum of Natural History virtual tours allow visitors to take self-guided, room-by-room tours of select exhibits and areas within the museum from their desktop or mobile device. Visitors can also access select collections and research areas at our satellite support and research stations as well as past exhibits no longer on display.!

START HERE!!!! - Welcome students and parents. I know we are know in uncharted territory and this is all new to us. My goal is to try and give your child the best science curriculum I can do remotely. I will post assignments for the week. The only thing required will be a science journal for some assignments. If your science journal is still in school, no worries. Just start a new one or use any paper you have. I will be available via email and will always respond ASAP. I am going to post all assignments here on my website as well as utilize Google Classroom. As of now, use Google Classroom for all assignments in science.
