Here are some suggested questions to think about BEFORE you watch the mini-lesson:

1. How are books made?

2. What will this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about books?

3. Are all books made the same? Think about kids picture books versus an adult novel.

4. Think about how science is used to make books!

OPTIONAL Bonus Activity: Every story begins with an idea. Think of a story you could write. Who is your story about? It could be about a child like you—or it could be about an astronaut, a robot, a dog, or an alien monster! Use your imagination! It’s your story and you are in charge. Is there a problem that needs to be solved or a question that must be answered? What happens next? Maybe the problem gets worse! Or your first question leads to more questions! For each thing that happens in your story, write a sentence and draw a picture. Share your story with a friend or family member!
