Happy New Year!!

For the month of JANUARY - we will be focused on being PRINCIPLED.

Being principled means that we act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences.

Due Jan 5

For this assignment you will practice your skills in decimal operations and rounding. There are several components to this assignment that you will have to complete.

For this project you are creating a fruit salad. In the attached file, you will see the possible fruits you can buy, along with the prices. In the directions it states that the weights of your fruits must be different. This means for example, if you will have 2 pounds of blueberries, you may not have 2 pounds of any other fruit. At least three of your weights must include a decimal value. Your total shopping cost should not be more than $30. You must have all of your work attached, and must be neat, labeled and easy to read. Refer to the rubric as you work. I have attached an example.

Before you begin, you must complete the edpuzzle review on rounding. All of your totals need to be correctly rounded to the hundredths place. Click on the edpuzzle link and you will see it in your assignments.

This assignment is expected to take two class periods. Do no rush. Take your time to create a quality product. If you are virtual, you can print the last two pages of the file, draw own chart and fruit salad bowl or use a program like Kami to draw on the pdf file.

Do not work on this for homework on Monday. You may work on it for homework on Tuesday if you do not finish in class.

If you have any questions that cannot be answered by the substitute, please write them on the assignment so that all students can see the answer, in case they have the same question. If you have a private question, you can message it to me.
