Thank you for meeting with me last Thursday, November 23th and Friday, November 24th for a Parent-Teacher interview to discuss your child’s progress to date.  I am looking forward to working in partnership with you over the course of your child's French Immersion Kindergarten year to help them be as successful as possible.

Dates to Remember:

Learning Buddies:  Our next Learning Buddies session with Mme Fraser's Grade 3 French Immersion class will be on Monday, November 27th, Day 2.

Book Exchange:  Our next regularly scheduled book exchange will be on Wednesday, November 29th, Day 4.  Please have your child return their Library book(s) by or on Tuesday, November 28, Day 3.  Merci!

Show and Share:  All students are invited to bring a small toy of their choice for Show and Share on Friday, December 1st.  Kindly help your child introduce themselves and present their toy.  The following sentence structures may be helpful to them:  Bonjour!  Je m’appelle _____.  Voici mon/ma _____.  Please remember to not send toys with your child on days other than Show and Share.

Absence:  Unfortunately, I will be absent on Friday, December 1st.  Madame _____ will be replacing me for the day.  I will be attending a Professional Learning Day for French Immersion Kindergarten teachers.

Home and School Christmas Wreath Fundraiser:  Wreaths purchased through the Sherwood School's Home and School Association fundraiser can be picked up between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2nd at the school's front doors.

Photograph of Family Member:  Kindly email me a photograph of one of your child's immediate family members by Monday, December 4th.  Your child will use the photograph in an integrated Families themed Show and Share on Friday, December 8th.  Merci beaucoup!

Second Step Program:  Our next Second Step lesson with Mrs. Swan will be on Monday, December 4th, Day 1.

Here are a few points of information pertaining to the week ahead:

Leader/Assistant:  Our first leader of the day will be Axton and our first assistant will be Benjamin this week.

Theme:  This week, our theme will be Families.

Additional Copy of First Term Report Card:  If you wish to receive an additional copy of your child’s First Term report card, kindly write me a note in your child’s Communication Duo tang by _____. 

Bedtime Routine:  With four full weeks of school to go before the Holiday Break, your child will benefit from a consistent bedtime routine until then.  A full night's sleep will prepare them to fully engage and participate in our busy school days together.

Extra Hat and Mittens/Gloves:  Kindly double-check that your child has an extra hat and an extra pair of mittens/gloves in their backpack each day.  Please remember to label them too!  Merci!
