Boys' Tennis
Term 3 saw our Boys tennis teams put in a strong performance across all age groups, demonstrating resilience and sportsmanship throughout the season. Under the leadership of captain Nicholas Davies and vice-captain Brett Roberts, the boys showed remarkable teamwork and skill in their matches.
The boys started the term with hard-fought matches against The Wykeham Collegiate (TWC) and St Charles. The 1st team edged out TWC with a 22-20 win, while the 2nd team stormed to a commanding 31-5 victory. The U11A and U11B teams secured wins against St Charles, with scores of 17-11 and 21-7. Additionally, the U11C team continued their winning streak, defeating Eston 27-15.
A tough encounter with New Hanover saw the 3rd team narrowly lose 26-14, but the boys bounced back with an excellent display against Cordwalles. The 1st team claimed a convincing 28-14 win, and the 2nd team followed suit with a dominant 28-8 victory. The U11A and U11B teams, however, faced challenges, with losses of 21-7 and 17-11 respectively. To conclude the season, the 2nd team faced Laddsworth and rounded off their campaign with a decisive 26-2 win.
The U11A and U11B teams ended the season with a hard-fought draw against Cowan House (14-14) and an impressive win for the U11B (19-9). Our senior teams excelled as well, with the 1st team triumphing over Cowan House 26-16, and the 2nd team securing a solid 21-15 victory. Overall, it was a season of growth, determination, with several outstanding performances across all teams.
