Two Types of Bluemercury Gift Cards:
1️⃣ E-Gift Card
Can only be purchased online
2️⃣ Physical Gift Card
Can only be purchased at a Bluemercury Store
Both E-Gift Cards and Physical Gift Cards can be redeemed online or at any Bluemercury Store.
There is no set expiration date for any Bluemercury Gift Card.
Promotion/Discount codes can be applied when using an E-Gift Card and a Physical Gift Card.
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash.
A Gift Card's value/balance cannot be transferred to a credit card or debit card.
All Gift Cards will have a [16 Digit Gift Card Code] and [4 Digit PIN number]. Both required to use a gift card at checkout.
All Physical Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards will begin with the number 6.
If it doesn't start with a 6, then it is not a valid Bluemercury Gift Card.
If a customer has a gift card with letters (ABC) and numbers (123) then they have an old, outdated Gift Card that is still valid to use at checkout. However the system no longer recognizes these outdated codes, so Reps must confirm the value of the outdated gift card and issue a new gift card to replace it.
E-Gift Card Details:

An E-Gift Card is not a physical, hard copy gift card. If the customer wants a physical, hard copy gift card that can be physically shipped to a gift recipient please refer them to ➡ Physical Gift Cards can be purchased at a Bluemercury Store Location over the phone or by going in-store.
Purchasing an E-gift card will not result in an E-Gift Card being physically shipped to a shipping address.
E-Gift Cards cannot run Out of Stock as they are a digital, non-physical product.
May be used to purchase any merchandise or treatment services offered at Bluemercury locations or bluemercury.com by following the instructions in the received E-Gift Card email.

Using a Gift Card at checkout can require the user to be logged into their Bluemercury account before entering the 16 digit numerical Gift Card number and the 4 digit PIN number.
Both types of Gift Cards are valid methods of payment for all Bluemercury store purchases and for online purchases.
Any Purchases that are made with either type of Gift Card, will receive their refund back to the original Gift Card used at checkout. If the purchasing customer no longer has this gift card, a new gift card can be issued with the appropriate refund amount and sent to the customer to use.

When an E-Gift Card is purchased, Two emails will be sent out.
The first email is an order confirmation email and will be automatically sent to the Purchasing Customer's email address. This confirmation email will act as a receipt and will not include the E-Gift Card Code information.
After the first email has been sent, the system will automatically start processing the payment for the E-gift card and creating the E-Gift Card. This processing time can take 15-30 minutes after purchase time.
After processing has completed, the system will send the E-Gift Card in the second email. This email will be sent to the email address submitted by the Purchasing customer, and will include a 16 Digit Gift Card Code, a 4 Digit PIN number, and the Value of the E-Gift Card.
Once the second email has been sent, the E-Gift Card will be activated and ready to use.
The Billing Address will show who purchased and sent the E-Gift Card, but will not show any payment method information.
If the customer opted to add a personalized complimentary gift message during checkout, then this Gift Note will also be included in the second email.
The Purchasing customer will not receive the second email, and will only receive the first email.
The Gift Recipient will not receive the first email, and will only receive the second email.
After selecting your amount, entering in the Recipient Email Address, and adding the gift card to your bag, click VIEW BAG.
When viewing your bag, look for a blank check box with "IS THIS ORDER A GIFT?" next to it.
Proceed to click this check box and an option to "Include a Complimentary Personalized Message" will appear after clicking.
Proceed to click the blank check box next to "Include a Complimentary Personalized Message" and a text box will appear where your gift message can be added to your order.
❌ Once an order has been purchased - a Gift message cannot be added or included with that E-Gift Card order. This also includes E-Gift Cards created in Shopify.❌
Physical Gift Card's cannot be looked up in Shopify. These can only be searched by SUPS and Store Reps. SUPS will require the full 16 digit Gift Card code to look it up in the system.
Physical Gift Cards can only be purchased over the phone with a Store Rep or by going into a store to purchase.

General Terms (Updated March 2020)
A gift card, including, but not limited to, physical (including merchandise credit) and virtual, and/or stored value (“Card”, or “Cards” in the plurality) are issued by the Issuing Merchant (“Issuer”), who is the sole obligor to Card owner (defined as the rightful owner and possessor of the Card). When you purchase, receive or redeem a Card, you agree that the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Card terms and conditions. The Issuer reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time at their discretion. All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law.
Redemption
This Card is usable up to the actual balance only, in order to buy goods at any participating location, including URL.
Balance Inquiry
This balance checker, provided by a third-party vendor to Issuer, is provided to you only, the Card owner, free of charge and for the sole purpose of looking up the current balance on the Card. The balance you see when viewing Card balances is an estimate only.In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase, but there may be occasions when the updated balance is delayed. You may also contact customer service directly, either by phone or by email, which can be found on the Issuer’s website.
Risk of Loss
This Card will not be replaced or refunded if lost or stolen, unless you have proof of purchase and the Issuer can verify the card. The risk of loss and title for Cards pass to the purchaser upon sale. We are not responsible if a Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.
Resale
Issuer does not permit the resale of its Cards without our prior written consent.
Compliance with Laws
By purchasing a Card, you are certifying and representing to the Issuer and its affiliates, subsidiaries, sister, and parent companies, and vendors, including, without limitation (the “Issuer and Affiliates”), that the activities in connection with which the Cards will be used will comply with these terms and conditions and all applicable laws, rules and regulations, and that the Cards will not be used in any manner that is misleading, deceptive, unfair or otherwise harmful to consumers. In addition, you agree to defend and indemnify Issuer and Affiliates and their respective directors, managers and officers, and vendors, from and against any claims, expenses or liabilities made against or incurred by any of them in connection with your use of the Card or violation of any of these terms and conditions. You agree to release Issuer and Affiliates and their respective directors, managers and officers, and vendors from and against any and all claims, expenses or liabilities you have or may have against or incurred in connection with your use of the Card or violation of any of these terms and conditions.
Policies
Issuer and Affiliates may provide Card purchasers with information about the redemption status of Cards. Cards cannot be returned, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account, except to the extent required by law.
Fraud
Issuer has the right to close Card accounts and may request alternative forms of payment if Issuer believes such Card has been fraudulently obtained. In general, and in the interest of protecting you from fraud, we recommend that you do not purchase a discounted Card from third-party or non-verified resellers. Often these Cards are purchased with stolen credit cards and may be closed at any time, at the Issuer’s discretion. For more info on the legitimacy of a Card, contact the Issuer at their website.
Limitation of Liability
Issuer, its Affiliates and vendors make no representations, warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the Card, or the balance checker, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement, or any warranty arising by usage of trade, course of dealing or course of performance. Issuer does not represent or warrant that your Cards will always be accessible or accepted. In the event that Issuer or its Affiliates are found liable to you, you shall only be entitled to recover actual and direct damages and such damages shall not exceed the last balance held on your Card. Issuer and its Affiliates shall have no liability for any incidental, indirect or consequential damages (including without limitation loss of profit, revenue or use) arising out of or in any way connected with these terms and conditions, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence, whether active, passive or imputed), product liability, strict liability or other theory, even if we or our authorized representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Issuer or its Affiliates have any liability for unauthorized access to, or alteration, theft or destruction of a Card through accident, misuse or fraudulent means or devices by you or any third party, or as a result of any delay or mistake resulting from any circumstances beyond our control. The laws of certain states or other jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply, some or all of the above disclaimers, exclusions or limitations may not apply to you, and you may have rights in addition to those contained in this agreement. In such jurisdiction, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Disputes
Any meritorious dispute relating in any way to a Card, in which the aggregate total claim for relief sought on behalf of one or more parties shall be adjudicated in any state or federal court in the State of Delaware, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
If a Customer won a gift card in an event, giveaway, auction:
Confirm the following information with customer:
First and Last name
Email address
Phone Number
Name of event they won the gift card at
Gift Card Value $ amount
16 digit Gift Card number and 4 digit PIN number
Send all information to ER - email subject line "BM Activate Gift Card Insert Customer Name"
As the Gift Card was won during an event, it has to be created and activated by BM Corporate. Otherwise it will show as invalid or not recognized in the system for the customer and for the rep.
“Mercury” gift cards are not a bluemercury gift cards.
If a client's card number has a hyphen (-) than it is not a bluemercury gift card.
Bluemercury gift cards have a 16 digit card # with no hyphen, and a 4 digit pin #.
We will not be able to further assist if it is not a bluemercury gift card.
