Finale and closing

Finale

Let’s celebrate what has been achieved. Collect some equipment to display your team's work over the last few days. Show that you have filled in all the stamps for some additional material (goodies 😊 ) to display on your stand. The last 90 minutes will be 30 minutes of setting up the display and thinking about the process that you have gone through.

When you get back to your school, you may hear your teachers talking about metacognition. That’s a fancy word for talking about how you think about things. Very rarely in life are we going to be faced with challenges or problems that are art-based, or maths-based. Whilst we might be experts in our field, we will work with other experts to solve problems.

A real-life example of this is the London School of Economics and Political Science, (LSE). All students who study at LSE must take a course called the LSE 100. This is where you solve large problems from your specialist viewpoint, working with other students, as it gives you the practise you require. More details can be found at https://info.lse.ac.uk/current-students/lse100/about-lse-100 (again, link on the website).

Evaluation

We hope you have had lots of fun working together this weekend. We certainly have enjoyed having you here. I will let you into a little secret, it's my (Chief Engineer Colin) first time doing an event this large. So, if you have any feedback or anything that you wish we had done better or differently, please let us know. Nord Anglia wants to do these regularly, and I will share the feedback with the next school that hosts this event.

And Finally (I promise),

FROM ALL OF US AT BIS HCMC, IT WAS WONDERFUL TO MEET YOU AND WORK WITH YOU AND WE HOPE YOU HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY HOME 😊
