MIT Competition 2023

Background.

Pre 'Covid years' MIT invited intrepid explorers from across NAE to visit them and experience all things "STEAM".

Come 2023, the invite came in, but with a slightly different focus. Gone was the 'Come one, Come all!' approach, now students had to apply for the invite via a competition. Invites were sent to current (in 2022 - 2023) year 9's and 11's. 

MIT has a long tradition of 'hack the tube' and this was invoked again, with the keyword of 'move'. With this little information, students had to supply a 3-minute video to be judged against a set of criteria that was supplied to them. We at BIS HCMC then have to choose 2 winners to supply to the next stage. There are only 40 invites worldwide across all NAE schools. 

Wow. Did our students step up? Of course they did. 5 supplied videos. Please take 15 minutes to view the videos supplied and be blown away at what can be dreamed up with the key words of "move" and "tube".
