Earlier this year, 8th-graders were given the opportunity to dress like one of the characters from the novel The Outsiders. They had to wear three different items in order to receive extra credit. Then, there was a competition between the Red and Green teams to see which team could get more students to dress up (winners would get additional bonus points). The teams TIED with exactly 52 students dressing up on each team.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, there will be a staff vs student basketball game in the JGMS gym! For more information, please find Mr. McGrath or Mrs. Naylor.
Beginning February 10, the JGMS Nutrition Team will offer a new option during lunch service.
"The Grill" options will be served in both serving lines.

Congratulations to Student Council for all of their efforts in collecting so many toys from students and staff members at JGMS.
On January 16, Ms. Coletta sponsored a "Glow Day." Students received glow sticks and participated in fun activities under UV lights.
The play “The Play That Went Wrong” is a magnificent piece of that failed horrifically (in all the best ways). The whole point of the play was to talk about the murder of a rich person, but everything went wrong. The actors forgot their lines, the music was all off, along with the addition of ABBA music for some reason. There were a lot of resets in lines, and at the end of the “play”, the entire set falls apart. If the reason for the play was to fail (which it was), it did great, and the story was good.
