The first US memorial to an ongoing war, the Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial in Irvine, California, is modeled on the Vietnam Veterans memorial in that it includes a chronological list of the dead engraved in dark granite. As the memorialized wars (in Iraq and Afghanistan) have not concluded, the Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial will be updated yearly. Trump belatedly declared yesterday that "I now have responsibility" for Syria. Actually, Mister-Faking-Your-Way-Through-the-Presidency, that responsibility started they day you were inaugurated. That responsibility included your administration last week sending the message to Assad that you were effectively on his side. A message he heard loud and clear. You are responsible for that. An amateur in foreign policy heads an administration of amateurs in foreign policy. The foreign policy bumbling of this President, and his Administration, has gone beyond embarrassing tweets and awkward meetings with other heads of state. The clowns running this show have blundered into encouraging the use of chemical weapons against women and children. The blood of those victims, at least partially, stains the hands of the United States.
We also need to look for ways to reduce the student debt load for Virginians hoping to put their skills to work in underserved communities. To motivate a new generation of mental health workers, substance abuse counselors, veterans, and others to live and work in the communities that need them most, I will push for Virginia to offer partial loan forgiveness for a commitment of two years working and making these communities better places.

Tracie reflected on a joyful day. Marchers were happy to be there, acting together and thanking the police and other public servants who made the event possible. Talking to her during the ride, he teared up with a look of sincere appreciation and said, "you don't know how much it means to see you all out there." Another thank you came her way at the airport as she headed home. She could see how all the small sacrifices stacked up to make a powerful moment possible for many people.
