8th-Graders Going to Washington, DC

From Tuesday, May 16 through Friday, May 19, 8th-grade students will be attending the annual Washington, DC field trip. They'll leave early morning and take an 8-hour bus ride together down to the nation's capitol. Once there, students will visit museums and memorials while also having time to hang out with friends. Students not going on the trip will have local field trips planned each day. A big thank you to the teachers organizing and attending these trips!

Costa Rica Trip

By Sophia Gallant

On Thursday, Apr 13, 2023, nineteen students, including myself, and three chaperones, Mr. Pike, Mrs. Grammenos, and Mr. Wilson flew to Costa Rica. Over the course of nine days, we all had a life-changing experience.

We learned about Costa Rican culture and language. The biodiversity was magical, we saw sloths, monkeys, macaws, dart frogs, snakes, crocodiles, and that is just where the list started. My favorite part was either horseback riding, with a breathtaking view of mountains, or kayaking to an active volcano called Arenal. Below is a picture of this volcano. Thanks to the teachers and fellow students for such a memorable trip!

7th Grade Trip to see Bud, Not Buddy

By Andrew Majnoun

This year, the 7th graders are going to Boston to see a performance of Bud, Not Buddy, adapted from the book of the same name. Currently, we are reading the book in our English class so we have a basic understanding of the story before we go on May 9th. The story follows a young boy named Bud Caldwell who is an orphan trying to find his long lost father. I’m sure the trip will be a nice break from MCAS, as it is right in between the two sessions for math. It will just be a regular old, feel-good field trip that brings excitement to me and all of my peers.
