EXTRA!! EXTRA!!
The Newsies performance was a smash hit at JGMS! Congratulations to all staff and students who worked so hard on this show!
In a few weeks, 8th-graders are attending a field trip to see the play Romeo and Juliet in Boston. Students read and analyze Shakespeare's story in English class and are excited to see it come to life during a live performance.
Ms. Breakall and Ms. Little are organizing the field trip, and they received a grant of $2,500 from the Bedford Education Foundation to help make the trip more affordable for everyone.
After the performance, students will also get the opportunity to speak with the actors during a Q&A session about putting on a Shakespeare play.
7th-graders are looking forward to celebrating the end of the year with a field trip to Kimball's in Westford. In case you've never been there before, they've got batting cages, mini golf, a driving range, a zipline, bumper cars, bumper boats, delicious food and, of course, ice cream!
Right after Memorial Day Weekend, from May 28 - 31, 8th-graders will be taking busses down to Washington, DC to see memorials, museums, national monuments, and the White House. Mr. Casey is the trip organizer and says he's excited to be taking this group down for this exciting experience.
We're reposting this article from our winter edition because it was cited in the Superintendent's Report on Entry Plan Findings!
On Monday, April 8, there was an eclipse viewing at JGMS. This event was organized by science teachers and JGMS staff members. There was trivia, free viewing glasses, and a cool sun watcher thing. At the end, the ice cream truck stopped by too!
