God created the seasons The Church has seasons, too!
it is important that children understand that Jesus loves them and wants to be their friend.
They learned that God created the universe and all living things, and gave it to us to enjoy and care for. God knows each child and loves them just the way they are, and he will help them to become all that he made them to be.
PK students speak to God as a friend, as a father, as one who wants to hear from them.
God made the world and everything in it. The beauty of God's creation calls us to respect the Creator and follow his will.
PK learns to pray using their 5 fingers.
Pray for Those closest to your heart
Pray for those who direct you to God.
Pray for our leaders.
Pray for the weak and the sick.
Pray for yourself.
The children learn to give thanks to God and say grace. Thanking God for our blessings and sharing them with others builds the Christian family.
God keeps promises, God promised Simeon he would see the Messiah before he died.
We compared Jesus' presentation to the Sacrament of Baptism. The students enjoyed playing with the baby doll and making the sign of the cross in a mini Baptism.
Happy Mater's Feast Day!!! We learn that Mater has many faces and she always leads to her son, Jesus.
The children learn to make the sign of the cross and hear and sing about Blessed Trinity.
St. Patrick used nature to teach about the Blessed Trinity.
The Rosary is a special way of praying to God that honors Mary, the Mother of God.
While praying the Rosary they remember certain stories in the lives of Jesus and Mary.
Our guardian angel is watching over me all through the day and night.
The students' faith is Sacred Heart's Goal 1. It is the top of the list for the Catholic life. As adults, we may underestimate the power of our example. Those little eyes are always watching our actions, attitudes, and words; but we can use that power to transform the lives of our girls.
PreK classes build a foundation for a child's prayer life:
Use a mixture of traditional and spontaneous prayer
Encourage family prayer
Praising God
Thanksgiving
Petition
Intercession
Students can pray anywhere anytime!
We pray for our country and the veterans.
Because of a parent's loving care when a child is sick, she can understand Jesus' compassion to those who are suffering. Our students learn to live in a Christian community we need to follow the 5 Goals. They learn the importance of sharing, being patient and kind words.
How Is my family like the Holy Family?
Students understand that God wants them to honor their parents and those who take care of them.
St Joseph Pray for Us!
PreK lessons focus on the relational aspects of our faith. Children learn how to relate to God. They explore the concept of family, first as a community within our home, and then in a larger context of the parish family. The relationship between God and his people is discussed through the stories of Jesus, early life and ministry. Attention is given to how children relate to others, including their peers and the community.
