Philosophy of the Library
In the Library, students are encouraged to become inquisitive learners through the basic tenets of information literacy and through the American Association of School Library National School Library Standards. In Library classes, students learn to Inquire, Include, Collaborate, Curate, Explore, and Engage. At the end of each library class, students in K-4 check out books of their choice in an atmosphere of wise freedom. The Library is a safe space that provides windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors for all students while embodying the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart and the Global Education competencies.
