The first graders have been busy this year in the Innovation Lab learning all about communities! They started in their classrooms by exploring the four important elements that make up a community: places to live, places to work, places to play, and ways to solve problems together. To show what they learned, the girls worked in pairs to use their 3D shapes to build their very own communities! This got them thinking about what makes a community special.
