Houses / Rewards / Golden Tickets / Trips

At Richmond Park Academy all students are placed into one of four houses when they arrive - Holland, Hyde, Kensington or Regent. These houses are named after the Royal Parks across London which aptly links to the name of our school, Richmond Park Academy. Students will remain in their house for their whole school journey and will embark on an adventure to develop their competitive nature, fostering a sense of belonging and community.

Throughout each academic year, there are a number of opportunities for students to earn house points. Firstly, students can gain points in their day to day activities, including both in lessons and within the wider school community at break, lunch and after school. These points are awarded in line with the PARKS points rewards system in place at RPA. These PARKS points are awarded for students who go above and beyond, demonstrating any of the PARKS values - Pride, Aspiration, Resilience, Kindness or Skills for Life. Secondly, for students with a more competitive nature, points are awarded to those who tackle the challenge of house competitions. There are a variety of competitions running throughout the year which are organised to suit the needs and interests of all, including art, baking, drama, music and sport. Finally, at the end of the year, Sports Day provides the opportunity to win the all important deciding points to determine which house will be awarded the prestigious RPA House Cup and be crowned the ultimate winners. For the houses that excelled at being the best runners up, there is always the following year to secure the winning position.
