Open Evening for Prospective Families - Wednesday 1st October 6:00pm - 8.15pm
School uniform and a smart appearance are very important to Richmond Park Academy. The wearing of uniform indicates pride in personal appearance, and reflects acceptance of shared goals and support for the values the Academy seeks to achieve and is designed with both boys and girls in mind and is smart, comfortable and economical.
Uniform is one of the outward signs by which the local community recognises and makes judgements about our students and it is important that our students present themselves in a positive, professional way that conveys a disciplined and well-ordered learning environment.
All uniform with the academy logo has to be purchased from School Bells Uniform Shop. Uniform can be purchased online or at the shop in Hounslow.
As part of our commitment to high standards and consistency across our school community, we have updated our uniform policy regarding skirts.
From this term onwards, skirts must be:
✅ On the knee
✅ Just below the knee
❌ Not above the knee
As a way of example:
✅ A standard pleated or A-line skirt designed to reach the knee would be considered compliant.
❌ A mini-skirt that sits above the knee would be considered non-compliant.
A skirt worn on or below the knee: This skirt's hemline would fall at the very top of the kneecap, or anywhere further down the leg, such as mid-calf or ankle length. The key is that the knee is covered or the hemline is directly in line with it.
A skirt worn above the knee: The hemline of this skirt would be anywhere above the kneecap. It could be slightly above the knee, or significantly higher, such as mid-thigh. The key distinction is that the knee is visible and not covered by the skirt's fabric.
This adjustment ensures that our uniform continues to reflect the professionalism, respect, and pride we expect of our students.
Uniform shops sell school skirts in three different lengths
We thank all parents and carers for supporting us in upholding our high standards.
