Students and staff from Richmond Park Academy are celebrating today after receiving top GCSE grades

The Year 11 students who sat the exams in May and June are getting their results today, helping set their course for the future. The exams represent the culmination of their secondary school education and the grades students secure determine what they will go on and do next – further study, an apprenticeship or entry level role in the workplace.

This is the second year that exams have taken place as normal, but schools across the country are still dealing with the impact of the pandemic.

To support the Year 11 students, staff at Richmond Park Academy which is part of AET – a national network of schools - laid on additional holiday, weekend and after school revision classes and intervention for students.

All these efforts paid off, with students securing some brilliant results, including:

Principal, Nabila Jiwa of Richmond Park Academy said:

“We are incredibly proud of these results, which reflect the commitment and conscientiousness of our fantastic students who have worked tirelessly to ensure they progress to the next stage of their educational and vocational  journey. Michael Feely, Regional Education Director for London and South at AET said:

Particular congratulations to Mia, Georgia, Maja, Sophie, Thomas, Amalka and Suhan for their results – I have every confidence they have very bright futures ahead of them.”
