📝 Key things that College Board says to do:
-Explain what sparked your interest in pursuing this inquiry question
-Explain how your portfolio shows evidence of experimentation, practice, revision, and synthesis between your materials/processes/ideas
Tip: cite specific artifacts that show each of these!
Example: I revised Piece 1 to better express an uneasy feeling
-Explain how your portfolio has evolved and why those changes have occurred
-Consider what elements of your work are most important (composition, markmaking, use of 3D space, etc) and explain why and how they are used
Writing tips:
-Get to the point in the quickest way possible (while still fully explaining what you mean)
-Use action verbs and write in the active voice rather than the passive voice! Here's a good resource
Also, don't forget that the AP Videos exist!
There is a whole section of AP Daily Videos dedicated solely to writing about your artworks!
