Write the idea you are trying to express in the top box. rephrase as necessary from the sentence stem to explain as needed.
We will rotate the pages around the group to get feedback on how your peers might approach that idea if it were them.
If you are giving feedback, you will:
Read their idea
pick a material/process/composition/ or mark making technique that you think would connect well with the idea they're try to show. Find the applicable blank box to respond to the questions asked for that item
After receiving the feedback, you as the artist will spend the remainder of the period planning what you will actually do for this piece. We encourage you to take inspiration from one or several of the ideas your classmates have shared.
Write your statement of intention describing specifically what you will do.
Start your concept journal in your sketchbook/in a google slide.
must include IMAGES/SKETCHES. There must be visual representation (not just verbal) of your idea.
consider researching the material/process/relevant artists
have a plan for:
material
technique
composition (how will the elements be arranged in the final product)
we STRONGLY suggest experimenting with the materials prior to next class so you can add purposeful mark making to your work.
