ATTENDANCE AREAS
Attendance areas for the various schools of the town will be drawn up by the superintendent and approved by the school committee. The primary considerations which govern the establishment of a school attendance area are school capacity, transportation and financial considerations. Students will attend the school in the attendance area in which they live.
From time to time, changes in student enrollment, the development of new residential areas, or the opening or closing of a school building may require the establishment or change of previously established school attendance areas.
The school committee's primary basis for the establishment or change of previously established school attendance areas shall be equality of educational opportunity for all students rather than the personal desires of any one group.
All requests to make exceptions to attendance lines must be put in writing and addressed to:
