ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Evening schools shall be established and maintained according to the provisions of the statues of the Commonwealth and under such regulations as the community may from time to time prescribe.

Any person in the town not attending day school who does not have a high school diploma is encouraged to continue his/her education in the evening school. Diplomas from the evening school are awarded upon successful completion of required courses, an accumulation of sufficient credits, and the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools. The minimum course requirements for an evening school diploma will be identical to those of the high school, including passing MCAS. Physical education and health credits are exempt.

The School Committee will establish registration and assessable fees for resident and non-resident students.
