Portraits can take on many forms. They can be formal or spontaneous. They can be done in a studio or in nature. They can be straight up portrait posing or very artsy. In this assignment, students will be shooting portraits of others and themselves. This is an opportunity for you to get creative and practice working with another subject to challenge yourself in new directions. A portrait can be capturing the essence and personality of the person you are photographing or you can be using them to express a specific mood or advocate a social issue.
Assignment: Students will be shooting a series of portraits. I roll of film/24 exposures digitally will be with someone of their choosing and 1 roll of film/24 exposures digitally will be of themselves. Yes, I said self-portraits so go get artsy!
