The advanced drawing II and III courses are designed to explore multiple techniques and subjects in drawing. Students are encouraged to focus on areas of weakness and work on techniques to develop them into strengths.
Students will learn how to put their visual ideas and communication to paper through several problem solving exercises to help them think more deeply about their art. Drawing II students first semester will be designing their own lessons and rubrics based on techniques based on their desired areas of growth.
Learning Targets:
Students will learn how to develop their drawing skills in graphite, colored pencil, ink, charcoal, or oil pastels.
Students will learn how to express deeper meaning and communication in their art.
Students will continue to develop and learn how to draw from objects and images.
Students will learn how to use highlight, mid-tones and shadows to create 3-d effects
Students will learn how to create depth by use of clam shell perspective and contrast.
