Drawing II students are required to complete a charcoal drawing from a portion of a shared image. Students will use charcoal to complete the final drawing. Minimum drawing size is 20 x 19 inches. Students will work together to make sure their image matches up to the person who is working on the part of the image next to their's.
We will also take a look at the work of Jim Dine, a pop art artist as our inspiration.

Learning targets:
Students will create a drawing using soft media to achieve value and hue by blending, rubbing, brushing and additive and subtractive techniques.
Students will use varied approaches to drawing techniques and media through use of tip, point, side and pressure.
Students will emphasis the design elements to create dominance/ a focal point or center of interest.
Time frame:
3 Weeks
Students will start with sketches and ideas in their sketchbook. Students will have 3 weeks to complete the work.
