The landscape assignment will help develop your observational drawing skills. Drawing from life is the best way to move your skills forward. We will be going outdoors to draw so be prepared with layers of clothing so you are ready for whatever weather we experience.

Assignment:
Students will be creating a drawing based on the scenery outside of the art dept. Students may use charcoal or graphite for the 12x18 inch drawing.
Preparation:
A lecture, practice in sketchbooks and demos. Students will create several small sketches of nature objects and textures (trees and bark, grass, leaves, pine cones, rocks,etc..)
