Online portfolios are a great way to showcase your art and tell us about you as an artist. All Advanced Art Students will be required to create an online portfolio using either Google Sites, weebly.com or Wix.com. One of the most important benefits of using portfolios is the enhancement of critical thinking skills . Students may also use Instagram or Flickr. Using Google sites is also an option.

Develop evaluation criteria
Use this criteria to evaluate their work
Engage in self-reflection about their progress.
Additionally:
Students can more easily observe their personal growth.
They have better attitudes toward their work when they can observe their progress.
They are more likely to think of themselves as artists.

Assignment:
Students will design on online portfolio to show case their work over a semester to 3 year period. Students may use art from other course taking within the LHS art dept. They may also use work from their freshman year at East.
Required E-portfolio criteria:
10-15 images of students own work, maybe any medium including computer generated work.
