Roundtable

Roundtable is a student participation strategy.

In Roundtable, a discussion activity, teachers organize students into teams of three or four students who then respond to a question or problem by stating their ideas aloud as each member writes them on a single sheet of paper. The paper is then passed around the table until time is called. As students vocalize their ideas as they write, other students can reflect on them. This activity encourages all students to contribute their ideas and participate in a group, and keeps them engaged during the group work.
