Curriculum

The student learning that is expected to occur, including various areas of knowledge, e.g., facts, concepts, procedures, methods of inquiry and making judgments.

The term literally means, “the course to be run.” In Understanding by Design (Wiggins & McTighe, 2005), the term refers to the explicit and comprehensive plan developed to honor a framework based on content and performance standards.
