Object Codes and functions

Functions tract the general operational area and group together related activities.

For revenues, the object code identifies the general source and type of funds. For expenditures, it identifies the type of item or service being provided. District line-item budget reports usually reflect fund and object level information.

• Revenues, including revenue limit sources, federal revenue, other state revenues, and other local revenue
• Expenditures, including salaries, employee benefits, books and supplies, capital outlay, and other outgo categories

School codes are assigned for each school within a district.
