Non-Tenure Track Faculty

Non-Tenure Track faculty (formerly called fixed term faculty) are ranked faculty who are hired at .50fte or greater who are not on tenure track (instructional faculty at less that .50fte are Adjunct Faculty). Non-Tenure Track faculty have a six year probationary period before a review. If the review is successful, Non-Tenure Track faculty are placed on an Continuous Appointment. These faculty members are covered by the AAUP Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The hiring process for Non-Tenure Track instructional faculty is handled through the PeopleAdmin system.

Fixed Term instructional faculty are faculty that are hired at .50 FTE or greater who are not tenure track and whose contract ends, with no renewal within one - three academic years.
