Objective:

• Students will identify key contributions of Greek intellectuals, includeing Archimedes, Aristarchus, Aristotle, Euclid, Herodotus, Hippocrates, Hypatia, Plato, Pythagoras, and Socrates
• Students will be able to describe the military achievements of Alexander the Great and the consequences of his unexpected death
• Students will be able to describe the power of symbolism by answer questions surrounding the fate of Alexander's body
• Vocabulary: phalanx, symbolism
