You’re walking through the woods. You see a very large cage. You move a little closer. But what’s inside of it? It has orange and black stripes. Wait! It’s a tiger!?!? That’s what happened to Rob, the main character of The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo. It’s an adventure book that you’ll love to sink your teeth into!
In this well-written novel, Rob meets Sistine, a feisty hero that could be compassionate at times. Together they figure out a secret that the owner of the Kentucky Star Motel, Beauchamp, has been keeping for who knows how long! The theme of this great book is to never give up. When action strikes, Rob and Sistine know what to do.
I recommend this book to you because Kate DiCamillo uses every word like it’s the last. She has also written books like Because of Winn Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. She also wrote the book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. This is an amazing book and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have.
