For most people who know Diary of a Wimpy Kid, a new chapter in the series was made. This one is like no other, because for once Greg can’t be lazy. The book is called Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School, by the famous (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) author, Jeff Kinney. If you’ve seen the series you would know it’s realistic fiction.

If you don’t know, Diary of a Wimpy Kid it is about a boy named Greg Heffley. Greg is a middle schooler with a family that drives him crazy. In Old School, all Greg’s parents talk about are the old days. Old School is mainly about Greg living like how people lived in the old days. In order to get to the turning point, I have to tell the rising actions. First, his grandpa moves in with them because Leisure Towers raised the rent and his girlfriend, Darlene broke up with him. Then Greg showed him a dating website. When they were out of the house, he threw a party. Then Greg’s dad installed a camera to watch his dad. Two days later he installs another one for Greg. The next problem is Greg scratching his dad’s car. Two weeks ago the school was handing out flyers for a five day camp, which Greg denied. Now he’s so desperate to get away from home before his dad sees the car that he changes his mind. So for the next five days Greg’s at camp. That’s when things get crazy!!!

I like the book because it’s hilarious. Jeff Kinney is an incredible author. Even though it’s realistic fiction, Greg Heffley has such bad luck, it’s impossible. You might also enjoy it because the series could be your very own advice book.
