In the story “Dog tag: Strays by Alexander London there is a lot of action & drama.the author has made two best friends go threw so much in a war because of their choices. the action that happens manley takes place on the battlefield during the Vietnam war.

It starts of off in a military base in Afghanistan.Chuck and max are not assigned on to battle just yet. Chuck is the dog owner of Max,Max is a German Shepherd. Day five in the base & they are finally assigned on a mission in Afghanistan to ambush a military convoy.

After the mission max gets shot while max is being rescued by his friends but chuck lost a lot of blood. & and enemy manages to get to chuck and his friends and kill them. while max is hopping on one foot trying to get back to camp. But the sad part is makes was unable to make it & both max and chuck were K.I.A.
