I think number the stars is a wonderful book because it makes you feel like you are in the story. Number the stars talks about the World War II and it talks about how the Nazi were closing all the stores.Ellen and Annemarie are the main characters they are friends they always get cached by the Nazi and the Nazi get them in trouble.

In the middle they talk about how they had to work to get stuff like food and other stuff.They also had to go fishing even if it was cold just to get food because the Nazi closed all the store.when Nazi see someone walking they say stop and ask them where they're going. In the book it say that Nazi don't care if people die of hunger.

I recommend this book because it is so good and touching. That is why I will recommend this book to you.
