Week Ten Updated

This week I decided to just start over from the mirror. So, I mirrored the bust once again and I got to a better position and made his head look thinner. Then connected details on the face that were disconnected, like the chin. I then made the bust sold to remove some of the details. I was then ready to print, the only issue was that Mr. Moss told me that the MakerBot software I had was out of date and out of service. So he offered to put it into MakerBot Desktop and exported and printed it for me. Once the print was done, I used a dremel to make the bust smooth. However, the dremel I used was dusty and the top was stuck on. This made the bust dusty, I attempted to wash it off with water to no avail. Mr. Moss said he has another dremel that the top is not stuck, but we could not find it when we attempted to. So the bust was reprinted and this time the print messed up the head of the bust. The third time the bust was printed, the print finished without mistakes and there was no need to use a dremel, just tweezers to clean it up a bit.

First print of the bust with marks left by the dremel.

Second print of the bust, missing the head.

Third and final print of the bust that went better than expected, no use of dremel.
