Week Four Update

This week I made my first complete prototype and add holes for the pencils in the wheels and the body. I ran into a problem because I kept the wrong wheel design and the slots for the connector pieces were too large and I deleted the other design. Also when I moved the connector piece from my computer to the print compute it got scaled up and it took me a while to realize the problem. When I fixed the problem of the scale of the pieces and printed them I noticed that they didn't fit as well into the correct slot as the first prototype of the same exact size. This is due to which way the piece was cut (view photos below for a better understanding).

My first prototype set of pieces.

Left wheels were the ones that were printed but the right one has the correct size for the connector pieces to fit.

Left correct piece, right piece one that was printed.

Left one the correct one has diagonal supports making it stronger while the right one that was printed has the diagonal supports on the other side.
