h/w:
For the next week and a half, we will be working on several aspects of Macbeth.
•We will watch several scenes from the play from at least two film versions.
•You will be working on your memorization/recitation, which you may present at any time until the deadline, Friday, Dec. 10.
•You will also be working in an “acting company”--ideally, a group which will require and encourage you to do your best, most responsible and mature work--to plan, practice, and perform one scene from the play.
•Finally, you’ll be doing some analytical writing on the play, possibly fleshing out your word trace and turning it into a thesis paper. I need to finish looking at your preliminary work to decide if it is rich enough for a good basis. . . . Will let you know.
BUT: simply put, we’ll be working through this list each day, and you’ll need to keep yourself on top of what you need to do.
Friday, Dec. 3, we’ll work on on-demand issues, and Wed., Dec. 8 is a late-start day, so a very short period. Otherwise, we should stay on an even keel, unless . . . we. . . . have. . . . a. . . . snowday!
