Are you fired up? How much do you know about your topic? Let's get cracking!

PSA review and start. . . Remember how this relates to your service learning project: you might/may pick a topic you are going to research and see what's out there for PSAs--if you get really interested, you might even decide to use your research to create a PSA (with a professional mentor) of your own! However, we'll see some good ones and some really terrible ones as we go. Ta DA!
Important links:
How does a PSA encourage or discourage certain behaviors? What techniques might one use in that encouragement or discouragement?
Great questions! We'll work on studying them.
Mr. Rush also collected a lot of samples that we'll use to practice interpretation and observation: click here when we talk about going to Mr. Rush's page.
AND the observation sheet (need to fill it out first) and the analysis sheet (where you explain your conclusions) AS WELL AS the task itself are all linked at the bottom of the page. If you find your forms anywhere else, please be sure that your analysis sheet has two sides: it should go up to question five, I believe. Some versions only include questions 1 - 3.
h/w: complete the worksheet over the history of the PSA.
Tues. Feb. 8: DOL
Persuasive techniques
Browsing some ads: click here to look at Mr. Rush's pages and to practice identifying the devices those PSAs employ.
