Tues: 3/16 Speare DOL
Watch the catching scenes
Fig. Lang review work
Watch work--will probably finish up tomorrow!
h/w: read The Big Bad Catching Scene. . . III, ii, and look for at least TWO different types of figurative language in the text as you read (mark and id; stickies or writing down)
Wed. 3/17 Speare DOL
Possible RQ?
FInish up Watch work: discuss and read aloud as a group
More fig. lang. work with what you’ve found
h/w: Finish III: we will have read some of this, but focus on III, iv, which doesn’t even show in the movie: teasing Beatrice (PUNS!), and III, v, when Dogberry comes to warn Leonato about the “flat perjury” they have discovered. THIS IS THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING!
Thursday, 3/18--Short period, early start, early release!
Possible RQ?
Read, review, discuss the structure: how does Shakespeare keep tension high in the plot?
h/w: FOR MONDAY: read the wedding scene, IV,i: you will be assigned a character to notice. Find two lines that indicate his/her attitude to what happens at the wedding, and follow up with an explanation in your own words of what those words mean/indicate.
In addition, see how many NEW examples of figurative language you can recognize!
Have a nice three day weekend!
