I love poetry--to me, it's sort of like word problems in math (can you believe it?): challenging, rewarding, and hey! there are words. However, I also feel strongly that a poem worth reading demands and rewards careful, attentive reading, and I know in my deepest soul that it is possible to be wrong about a poem, to "read it wrong". Hence, we'll spend some time practicing reading, so we can see what we can be ambivalent about and what we need to figure out. There are some useful, informative links below.
