Poetry thesis: expectations and guidelines
Fave. Poems Project. . . some samples
h/w: take a BOOK from my collection and browse a bit! VOCAB!!!
Tuesday, Jan. 4/Wed. Jan. 5:
Small practice/browsing time at libe.
Samples again
collecting time
h/w: aim by MONDAY is to have all four closereads done: two left on the desk for me on THURSDAY (I’ll be out for an app’t that day, but back in the afternoon); Friday is Senior Ex. Festival so no class, and then two more completed by the end of Monday. THEY NEED TO BE STAGGERED SO I CAN KEEP UP!!! If you get them done early, GREAT!
The overall due date for this opus is Wed., Jan. 19. This *should* leave us some sharing time and a tiny cushion in case of a sn*w d*y. The Favorite Poems Project is a common assessment, so be sure you’re clear on topics and expectations!
DUE ON TUESDAY, JAN. 11 IS YOUR SMALL POETRY THESIS OVER PROMPT A, B, or C. Include your first draft, your marked-up copy of the poem, and your revised draft on top.
Please be sure you are clear on what expectations are for the various parts of the poetry project. It’s dangerous if you’re thinking, “All I gotta do is slap together. . . .”!!!!
Stay in touch. Wahoo!
