h/w: read V, i: you might just skim from lines 1 - 38 or so since Leonato and his brother are talking (and talking and talking and TALKING) about grief and comfort. . . but from line 38 - 44, Antonio and Leonato plan to take revenge for the grief and anger they’re feeling. . . and then hello! Here come Don Pedro and Claudio! Read up to ~l. 192, where the Constables/the Watch enters with Borachio and Conrade. IF YOU GET CONFUSED, CONSULT THE “NO FEAR SHAKESPEARE” SITE AND HELP YOURSELF!

DOL time
Lightning quick changes of emotion here. . . We’ll do a little mapping and finding of quotes to show people’s feelings.
Use the handout to trace the changes we see. What’s the effect on the audience? Is it realistic?
h/w: read the last two BORING(ish) scenes: V, ii and V, iii: Bea and Ben in LOVE, and Claudio mourning for “dead” Hero. Then we will be ready to read The Finale!!!!!
Wed. 3/24:
DOL/clean up day: if we got behind in class on Tuesday, tidy up discussion, etc, now.
