…Kiser’s five sisters and their families, and his mother, Glenda Kiser, all live in the Cincinnati area, Grannen said. Grannen is married to one of the sisters, Denise. Kiser grew up in Amelia, about 15 miles east of Cincinnati, and was a sprinter and ran cross country at McNicholas High School. He was a member of the track team at the University of Cincinnati, but dropped out after a year and joined the Navy, Grannen said. After seven years of active duty and seven years in the Navy reserve, Kiser joined an Army reserve unit two years ago because it was near his home in Cleveland, Wis., Grannen said. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, a son and a daughter. “One of the things all of his sisters and his mother say about their most recent contact with Chuck via the Internet is that Chuck really believed in the mission in Iraq,” Grannen said. “He loved his country. “He loved the children in Iraq, who used to follow the soldiers around. He felt his mission was to see that they have a free place to grow up. He seemed committed to that.”

"Chuck was a great guy, he had a personality that just drew you to him. I miss his stories and his sense of humor. He made the workday at GKN go effortlessly. A truley great man with a great family. Keep dancin' Chuck"  ~  Jim Campion, Whitelaw, Wisconsin

"Chuck was an awesome man, heart of gold even with his military attitude. There are many days he is talked of at GKN and amongst friends outside of work. I only had the pleasure of actually working for him for just over a year before he was called to Iraq, but I thought allot of him. He is missed allot by many, I really miss giving him the empty wrappers from his favorite candy, cream filled caramels." ~  Missy Laurin, Two Rivers, Wisconsin
