"I boxed with Rodney and his brother when I don't think any of us was more than 13yrs old,we boxed for maybe a year and I never got to see Rodney again. My point to all this is Rodney was that type of guy that once you met him you would never forget him,he was one of a kind and any one that got to meet him got to meet a REAL MAN. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN" ~  Chuck Klein, Akron, Ohio

"I worked with Rodney from Jun-Dec 2008 at Cp Liberty, Iraq. One of the most friendly people you could imagine and a true professional. To Chief Jarvis family and friends, I wish you the peace that Christ Jesus brings us all this Christmas season. My sincerest condolences. "I started going through my pictures today and came across Rodney...It's been about 4 months now and I still sit back and think of all the great moments we shared in Iraq. Rodney was more to me than just our PBO, he was a great friend and mentor. He was my battle buddy. We did just about everything together. We spent numerous nights playing Gears of War, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty on the Xbox, we used to go fishing, played softball, workout at the gym, watch movies, eat at the chow hall, hang out at his office, played volleyball, the list goes on and on. He talked so much about his wife, his daughters, his store. He was truly a great friend. I'm a bit disappointed because he said he would take me hunting. I've never been before and he was all for taking me out to get my first deer. Oh, and mudding. Lol. Rod, I miss you brother. I'm dedicating this Veteran's Day to you." ~  Eric Padron, Tampa, Florida
